TAI CHI Chuan Workshop

Tai chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese Internal Martial Art system and an gentle exercise system, today mostly and popularly used as a Healing exercise, a Relaxation exercise and  a meditation system.
Chen style Tai Chi chuan is the oldest form of Tai Chi chuan and the 9 form Chen style tai chi routine is a shortened form of the original form, created by Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang, the 19th generation Chen style Tai Chi linage holder.

The 9 form short routine can be comfortably learned in a two day training program by those how are new to tai chi,  and for those are familiar with tai chi it gives an opportunity to explore the depth. In this two days workshop you will be trained on

-    Worm up exercises
-    Tai Chi standing posture and alignment
-    Chen style 9 form tai chi routine
-    Tai chi principles.

Mahesha Kodikara - certified Taiji teacher in World Chen Xiaowang Taijiquan Associtaion.

Mahesha  a well known Yoga teacher,   started to practice Taiji in 1996 from the Buddhist monk Ven. Analayo. In  1997 he also had the opportunity to learn Taichi from the Japanees Taiji Master (a member of Taiji Pool of China) Koiti Aida. He was introduced to Chen Style taichi in 2000 by Master  Jan Silberstoff who created the World Chen Xiaowang Taijiquan Association, and was certified as a  Taiji teacher in the  World Chen Xiaowang Taijiquan Association. Later in 2008 and 2009 Mahesh had the opportunity to learn under the grand master Chen Xiaowang himself.

Mahesha is also a certified instructor for taichi for Diabates (combined sun and yang styles), under the Tai Chi for Health institute of Dr. Paul Lam.  In addition to tai chi he has also practiced Qigong since 2000, and was certified as an  instructor for Taichi qigong by  Master Wing Cheung of Taichi, Qigong & Feng Shui Institute in 2013.
